Business Development Representative

Apptegy is an education technology company based in Little Rock. At Apptegy, we are building the first marketing platform for schools. Thrillshare, our publishing platform, makes it easy for schools to share positive stories with their communities and the world.

More about the role and about you

We are looking for driven, talented, hustler types that want to be part of building something big. This role is all about how you tackle the challenge of getting the attention of school leaders across the U.S. You'll have to be persistent, consistent, and determined to put in your best effort every day. 

You need to be incredible at hustling, making 100+ calls a day, sending 50+ emails a day, and crafting hand-written notes. You will be working alongside others that have a solid track record of success in their academic and professional careers. 

No experience in sales or the education market is required, but you do have to show us that you're up for the challenge and can help Apptegy continue to grow at an incredible pace. New graduates are encouraged to apply. 

Things you will do

  • Set up meetings and video demos between prospective clients and our Sales Reps
  • Call schools across the United States to generate interest in our products
  • Send emails to follow up with and coordinate meetings for sales reps
  • Learn how to use tools to maintain relationships with schools administrators
  • Research school districts to better understand their needs and communities
  • Work closely with other team members to improve your strengths and identify weaknesses
  • Persuade people to give you their time and attention
  • Be relentless about getting more done in less time while increasing your effectiveness

About you

You are a self-starter and are intrinsically motivated and don't need someone to look over your shoulder.

You want to master the skill of self-improvement and understand that we all have weak spots.

You are driven to do amazing work and complete every task at an exceptional level. 

You constantly push yourself to get more done in less time by attacking your work with intensity.

You ask for help when you need it, own up to your mistakes, and thrive on feedback so you can improve.

Minimum Requirements

  • Completed four-year college degree. We are interested in graduates with any major, but we especially look for: Marketing, Communications, Education, English, Liberal Arts, and Business
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Strong writing skills
